Competition (group) titles

Events within a meeting may be differentiated by things other than classes. I run regularities which are some what classless. We may have the main group plus maybe Rookies, Open Wheelers, an invited club with their own events. The system doesn't appear to have any way to force someone to select what group they are actually entering.

Thanks for the post.
I wonder if the 'Activities' section could accommodate your requirements.
Although there is currently no way to force entrants to choose an activity. If others think this a useful feature, please vote by clicking the orange arrow above.

When creating an event tick the 'Show optional items' checkbox
In the Activities section; add a heading then click the Add button to create different activities, in your case add the group names
Optionally include a fee in the fees section

I used this feature however as it can't be forced it leaves too many holes

Tony,
We may be able to give the Event Organiser the option to make the activities choice mandatory.
See image 1 below: If the Event Organiser ticks the checkbox labelled Mandatory (e.g. Open wheelers) then the Activity will not default to being No and the Entrant is forced to provide an answer (Yes or No) see image 2
If the Event Organiser leaves the checkbox labelled Mandatory unticked (e.g. Rookies) then the Activity will default to being No and the Entrant has the option to change it to Yes.
The other consideration is, if you want to force the entrant to answer Yes to at least one of the Activities.
Let me know what you think.

Mat.
