Entry status changes

Currently - after an entrant has lodged their entry, the admin then checks the entry, actions other tasks (i.e. event admin outside of the Event Entry system), and then they change the status to an ‘approved’ or ‘accepted’ status.

However, it is quite common for an entrant to return to Event Entry and update some part of their entry. An update can be as significant as adding/removing an activity type or as insignificant as a small car detail change. However, this will change the entry to ‘Pending’. The ramification is that an event organiser does not know what the change was and would have to cross-reference documentation that they may have previously had to identify the difference (which is not always possible).

Is there any solutions that might assist here, such as a change log? Or an organiser setting an option to prevent changes on the entrant side?

Would be good that once organiser has set to accepted or approved the entrant cannot change the entry .. they need to email organiser who then has ability to change entry status to allow change .. as an organiser you do not have to worry about constant changes and having to re check
