Event Online system - Club Name and Membership details

Where an entrant belongs to more than one MA club, the entrant needs to be able to select which club they wish to enter under for an event. At present the Online System automatically selects the last club that the entrant has indicated that they belong to. This can impact the allocation of points to a club's point score.

Hi Mat, does the Event Entry system include wording along the lines of "I declare that I will be financial member of the nominated Car Club at the date of this event"? A declaration like this would save competitors having to produce proof of club membership at event registration. We had a problem on Sunday at the Pheasant Wood circuit where a bunch of competitors had their ARDC membership online and couldn't get reception. Please advise if this has been covered, if not I'll raise a request for it. Thanks.

This should be an easy fix, here's a draft of what we have planned
'By selecting a club, I confirm that I am a fully paid-up member of that club. Keep your club memberships up to date using the My Clubs menu on the left.'

I like it!! Thanks for your quick response. It's only a little thing but it will enable a significant improvement at event registration for both competitors and officials.

We are pleased to announce that a highly requested feature is now live! Drivers can now nominate one of their clubs during an entry.

This new feature is now available and here are two screenshots, the new Entry form and the Event Organiser's Entries Summary page.
Additionally, you can now utilise the new fields 'Nominated Club Id' and 'Nominated Club Name' in your custom reports, making it easier to manage and analyse your data.

I have tried to save Club Membership numbers & expiry dates. Get a pop-up telling me they've been saved, but they haven't.

I still have the wrong car club show up when I enter an event, even though I thought I deleted that car club from my profile. I also experience this as an event organiser, many of my entrants have to verify which club they are in because the wrong clubs are showing up on their entries.

This needs to be updated when membership is updated. Doesn't always happen at present

We had 2 entrants who were listed as Club Members of clubs that they had not been members of for several years. They wanted to be included in the home club results for the series, they were ommitted, and so results needed to be reissued. I think having some flexibility around whether you can list more than 1 club (as is often the reality) should be considered. Some clubs are desperate for members and force participants to join their club to compete in their event (instead of the multi-club option), which is fine, but this causes problems for the entrants who diversify their activities throughout the year.

Entrants cant select which club they are to represent, there is historical information that cant be deleted, and this creates confusion for event secretary and event scorer when calculating the club championship.

For multi club events I believe it to be mandatory for the entrant to select the club they are entering under.
