Nominated or previous Lap Times as a required field

Event organisers may require competitors to submit a Lap Time, for multi-car events such as supersprints to determine run-groups prior to the event.
Whilst there are fields to nominate times within the 'My Cars' section, too many competitors leave this blank and there are a limited number of fields.
A proposed feature is an optional question that requests a mandatory response:
* Fastest lap time ____ (ideally pre-populated from the 'Vehicle Details' section, if possible)
* I do not have a previously recorded Lap Time for this track and configuration.
This feature may also be considered for a nominated laptime for regularity events or a rally-seeding.

We run regularities and I want an expected lap time for seeding the practice. The lack of this feature is one of the reasons I have avoided using this system.

There is the facility for competitors to record 'Lap/Regularity times' in their car records
You can then run a csv report which could include these fields;
Entry Id
Entrant Id
Entrant First Name
Entrant Last Name
Driver Id
Driver First Name
Driver Last Name
Car Id
Car Make
Car Lap Time1
Car Lap Time1 Comment
Car Lap Time1 Location
Car Lap Time2
Car Lap Time2 Comment
Car Lap Time2 Location
Car Lap Time3
Car Lap Time3 Comment

I have found that this information is very unreliable as you cannot force a competitor to list it or review it to contemporary times. It is often the time done at when they first loaded the car up.

Good point, this facility is reliant on competitors keeping their records up to date.
This is all very good information for when we design a solution for this issue.
We do hope to eventually integrate timing into the event entry app.
If there are any other good ideas, please continue to contribute here and vote on other good ideas, this is how we prioritise our development back log.

I believe it to be mandatory for the entrant (super Sprints) to submit their best/current lap time for the circuit where the event is being held. It must not be the responsibility of the organizer to trawl through past events for times.

I can see how this idea would help organisers and reduce their work load, by having entrants provide the correct information during the entry process.
